Discovery Park is a 160 acre park that is located at the center of Sacramento, where the American and Sacramento rivers meet. The boat launch allows boaters access to both the American and Sacramento rivers. Has bike trials, reservable picnic areas, and a playground. The park is open year round from sunrise to sunset. Parking fees are collected 365 days a year.

Old town Sacramento is also just a short drive past Discovery Park.
The unique 28-acre National Historic Landmark District and State Historic Park is located along the beautiful Sacramento River. Bustling with activity, the district is alive with shopping, dining, entertainment, historical attractions and world-renowned museums set within the time of the California Gold Rush and the Transcontinental Railroad.

If you enjoy the night life we are only a few miles from Down Town Sacramento. Plenty of Clubs, Restaurants, and shopping to make everyone happy.

Fun Information About Natomas!
The first settlers arrived in the Sacramento Valley as early as 8,000 years ago. The earliest evidence of them in Sacramento County is found along the Cosumnes River near Rancho Murieta where crude stone tools were recovered from gravels estimated to be 12,000-18,000 years old. The first Natomas residents, sometimes called the Windmillers, were mainly hunters. They established villages in Natomas about 4,500 to 5000 years ago.

Natomas is a close-knit community, Natomas supports its own newspaper, Natomas Journal. Nearby, Arco Arena is home to the Sacramento Kings professional basketball team (with a possible move to the Downtown area). The area hosts many additional events, such as concerts and children’s shows. The area maintains open bike trails, parks and a community center. Because Natomas is bordered by the Sacramento River, there are several funky marinas and riverside eateries to enjoy. Be sure to check out Discovery Park. The Sacramento International airport is a very easy commute from this area about 3-5 miles. Did I mention that Natomas is home to the Sacramento Kings and the Sacramento Monarchs? This is where the Arco Arena is and where you can watch the Kings, the Sacramento Monarchs and many celebrity venues. North Natomas, is a Master Planned Community area of newer homes, just east of Interstate 80. Some of the communities in this area include; Witter Ranch Historic Farm, Fisherman’s Lake, Ueda Parkway Regional Park, Northpointe Park, Northborough, Gateway West and Natomas Crossing areas.
